| Gdy coś pokochasz, pozwól mu odejść. Jeśli wróci – jest twoje. Jeśli nie – nigdy nie było. | If you love something – let it go. If it comes back, it is yours. If it won't, it never was. |
| –– Pietro Aretino, (1492-1556) – Italian poet, writer, dramatist | |
| The most wonderful of all things in life, I believe,
is the discovery of another human being with whom one's relationship
has a glowing depth, beauty, and joy as the years increase. This inner
progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvelous
thing, it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing
for it. It is a sort of Divine accident. |

| – Sir Hugh Walpoe | |
| Kocham cię, i ponieważ cię kocham, wolę żebyś nienawidziła mnie za prawdę niż podziwiała za kłamstwa. | I love you, and because I love you, I would sooner have you hate me for telling you the truth than adore me for telling you lies. |

A family is a place where minds come in contact with one another. If these minds love one another the home will be as beautiful as a flower garden. But if these minds get out of harmony with one another it is like a storm that plays havoc with the garden. All that we are is the result of what we have thought. An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind Arrogance leads to failure. Birth gives rise to old age and death. Child and adult, wise and fool, all are they death inferior; that is what they have in common. Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything mere Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. Do not look for a sanctuary in anyone except your self. Do not speak harshly to any one; those who are spoken to will answer thee in the same way. Angry speech is painful: blows for blows will touch thee , The Dharmapada Drillers shape holes, bow makers arrows, carpenters shapes wood and the wise shape him self. He is able who thinks he is able. Help others, but when you do that, do not forget yourself. It is a man's own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways. It is impossible for one who is caught in a swamp to help another one caught. Learn this from water: loud splashes the brook but the oceans depth are calm. Neither fire nor wind, birth nor death can erase our good deeds. No man is an Island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the Continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friends or of thine own were; any man' , Meditation XVII Pain is the outcome of sin. Philosophers cannot lead to purity, they praise only themselves and stigmatise others. But a Buddha has overcome all dispute, he is indifferent to learning, he is appeased. Praise won through quarrel is worthless. Pull up the delusion by the root by stop thinking in terms of „I” . The body can be destroyed, but the effect of a kind action can remain. The man that conquers himself is superior to the one who conquers a thousand men in a battle. The only thing permanent is change. The thought manifests as the word; The word manifests as the deed; The deed develops into habit; And habit hardens into character. So watch the thought and its ways with care, And let it spring from love. Born out of concern for all beings. The wise do not build any hope for the future and do not regret anything in the past. There has to be evil so that good can prove its purity above it. Therefore, be ye lamps unto yourselves, be a refuge to yourselves. Hold fast to Truth as a lamp; hold fast to the truth as a refuge. Look not for a refuge in anyone beside yourselves. And those, who shall be a lamp unto themselves, shall betake themselves Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared To live a pure unselfish life, one must count nothing as one's own in the midst of abundance. To live a single day and hear a good teaching is better than to live
a hundred years without knowing such teaching. We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves , The Dharmapada We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world. We limit our world with „the thought” . Whatever you expect, it will be different. When a man has pity on all living creatures then only is he noble Win over anger with love, over ill will with good will; win over greed with generosity, over the liar with truth. Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others You should respect each other and refrain from disputes; you should not, like water and oil, repel each other, but should, like milk and water, mingle together You will never hear the truth from people who call each other fools. You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection. |
„Charles Plumb was a US Navy jet pilot in Vietnam . After 75 combat missions, his plane was destroyed by a surface-to-air missile. Plumb ejected and parachuted into enemy hands. He was captured and spent 6 years in a communist Vietnamese prison. He survived the ordeal and now Plumb gasped in surprise and gratitude. The man pumped his hand and said, „I guess it worked!” Plumb assured him, It sure did. If your chute hadn't worked, I wouldn't be here today.” Plumb couldn't sleep that night, thinking about that man. I wonder how many times I might have seen him and not even said 'Good morning, how are you?' or anything because, you see, I was a fighter pilot and he was just a sailor.” Plumb thought of the many hours the sailor had spent at a long wooden table in the bowels of the ship, carefully weaving the shrouds and folding the silks of each chute, holding in his hands each time the fate of someone he didn't know. Now, Plumb asks his audience, „Who's packing your parachute?”Everyone has someone who provides what they need to make it through the day. He also points out that he needed many kinds of parachutes when his plane was shot down over enemy territory-he needed his physical parachute, his mental parachute, his emotional parachute, and his spiritual parachute. He called on all these supports before reaching safety. Sometimes in the daily challenges that life gives us, we miss what is really important. „Charles Plumb był pilotem US w Wietnamie. Po 75 bojowych misjach, jego samolot został zniszczony przez powietrzny pocisk. Plumb katapultował się I wylądował w same ręce wroga. Został zatrzymany I wieziony przez 6 następnych lat w komunistycznym wietnamskich wiezieniu. Przeżył ta probe i teraz wykłada na podstawie swoich doświadczeń. Oto co mówi; Pewnego dnia jadł kolacje z zona w restauracji, kiedy podszedł nagle mężczyzna i powiedział “ Ty oblatywałeś samoloty bojowe w Wietnamie z lotnictwa Kitty Hawk. Zostałeś zestrzelony.” Mocno zdziwiony Plumb wykrzyknął “ Skąd na Boga to wiesz?” “Składałem twój spadochron” odpowiedział mężczyzna. Plumb stracił oddech z wrażenia I wdzięczności. |
